Biography

PatrickĀ is interested in probability theory and its applications. His current work focuses on questions arising from random matrix theory, statistical mechanics, and high-dimensional statistics. He is particularly interested in universality phenomena, where the large-scale behavior of a probabilistic model turns out to be independent of the small-scale details of its construction. He is also interested in teaching, especially student-centered approaches to instruction. In his free time, he enjoys running and photography.
