Prager Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics
Room 310, 182 George Street
Patrick is interested in probability theory and its applications. His current work focuses on questions arising from random matrix theory, statistical mechanics, and high-dimensional statistics. He is particularly interested in universality phenomena, where the large-scale behavior of a probabilistic model turns out to be independent of the small-scale details of its construction. He is also interested in teaching, especially student-centered approaches to instruction. In his free time, he enjoys running and photography.
