Geraldo Soto-Rosa

Biography

Geraldo was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degrees in Pure Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez. During his academic journey, Geraldo's research pursuits primarily centered around Computable Structure Theory. However, he has recently shifted his focus towards Numerical Methods for PDE’s and Dynamical Systems. He is interested in the theory and practical application to real-world problems.

Beyond his research interests, Geraldo is deeply enthusiastic about education. His teaching philosophy centers on engaging with students both inside and outside the classroom, fostering an environment where they can thrive and succeed academically.

In his spare time, Geraldo enjoys indulging in two distinct passions: baseball games and drag racing cars.
