"I study combinatorial optimization under the mentorship of Dr. Caroline Klivans, focused on semidefinite programming for the max-cut problem.  For this project, I work with max-cut simulations to investigate the behavior of my optimization algorithm, and I analyze polyhedra and spectrahedra of interest to the problem structure.  I am also interested in graph theory and have done some work on expanding our understanding of graph arboricity, which is based on a particular set of edge-coloring rules.  Outside of my research, I am an avid reader of high fantasy, a pianist specializing in musical theater and vocal accompaniment, and a vegan baking enthusiast."
