Applied Mathematics

Born and raised in Nanjing, China, I spent most my adult life in Australia, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I appreciate various branches of mathematics, and I am particularly fascinated by the process of developing elegant mathematical theories inspired by practical application. My current interests lie in the intersection of neuroscience, dynamical systems and topology. Outside of academics, I enjoy seeking out novel experiences, with bouldering being one of my newly found hobbies.
