Professor Bjorn Sandstede has been honored with the President’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Governance, recognizing his outstanding commitment to faculty service at Brown University.

This award celebrates faculty members who demonstrate a sustained dedication to shared governance through active participation in university committees. Professor Sandstede was recognized for his impactful contributions to the Research Advisory Board, the College Curriculum Council (CCC), and the Status of Women Faculty Task Force.

In addition to his extensive service, the award acknowledges his ability to balance these responsibilities alongside the many demands of his academic role. We congratulate Professor Sandstede on this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his continued contributions to the Brown community.
