Biography

Kyriacos Georgiou is a postdoctoral research associate in the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University. His research focuses on the fields of scientific machine learning, numerical analysis and stochastic processes. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Naples, Federico II. He obtained his Ph.D. on Jump-Diffusion processes and their applications from the Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business. Before that, he obtained his BSc in Pure Mathematics from Imperial College London and his MSc from the London School of Economics. Kyriacos is also the co-founder of a fintech startup in Greece, named finloup, where he developed machine learning algorithms for real-time credit risk assessment.
