Applied Mathematics

Biography

This is my first year in the APMA PhD program. Currently, my interests lie in dynamical systems, numerical analysis, and mathematical biology. I received my bachelor’s degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University, and a master’s in applied and computational mathematics, with honors, from Johns Hopkins University.

Prior to pursuing applied mathematics full-time at Brown, I worked for several years in government as an attorney and policy advisor, including stints with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Department of Justice, the State of California, and the White House Council of Economic Advisers. I hold a J.D. from NYU.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and a variety of endurance sports (running, biking, swimming, and cross-country skiing) and am very excited to be back in New England for my PhD.
