Applied Mathematics

Dr. Suguru Shiratori received his PhD degree from the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Technology, Japan, in the year 2007. After he had worked as a researcher at Canon Inc. for 10 years, he moved to Tokyo City University in 2017. He has been a full professor at Tokyo City University since 2024 and served as an editor of the International Journal of Microgravity Science and Application since 2017. His main research interests are thin film flows and surface-tension-driven flows. Recently, he has also been working on physics-informed machine learning approaches and their application to thin film flows.
